Scouts will break out into groups and will be taught how to make car, advise & tips, tools to make a super cool fast derby car. Due to time limitations they will not be able to make their individual car but will be able to learn the process and see one completed by instructors. If you have your "new" car finished, you can bring and test on practice tracks. If you are having trouble with your car bring it help will be available. Please have your scout bring last years car to share with pack. Practice track will be set up if you would like to test your new car or boys can race their old ones at workshop.
Remember : The derby car used at last years race cannot be entered again at this years race. You must start with a new car.
Pinewood Derby cars have been distributed to all scouts if you have not
received yours please contact your den leader. Additional cars will be
available at the pack meeting.
There will be a separate "adult" race for parents who wish to build
their own car. Remember your scouts derby car is their car (Sorry
parents) they should build it. Parents have opportunity to make their
own car for Adult Race :)
